    The Percolator Brewing Method

Percolator coffee is made by percolating water through ground coffee beans. A percolator is a coffee machine that consists of a filter, carafe, and heat source. The percolation process allows hot water to be pulled down through the grounds and into the carafe.

Percolator coffee is very common and is considered the easiest way to make coffee. The main advantage of using a percolator is that it fairly evenly distributes water over the grounds, which results in a consistent flavor. Additionally, percolators can be used to make large batches of coffee at once.

The main disadvantage of percolator coffee is that it can become bitter if left on the heat for too long. It is important to remove the percolator from the heat as soon as the desired strength of coffee has been reached.

    How to Make Percolator Coffee

Percolator coffee is made by percolating water through ground coffee. The size of the grind and the amount of water used will determine how strong the coffee will be. These instructions will make a medium-strength cup of coffee.

    1. First, add cold water to the coffee machine. Fill the carafe to the line that indicates the desired amount of coffee you want to make.
    2. Then add your coffee filter to the filter basket.
    3. Add your ground coffee to the filter. The size of the grind should be medium-coarse. Follow the instructions of the coffee you have on hand to see how much coffee you should be using to the amount of water.
    4. Next, place the carafe back into the machine and turn it on. The percolation process will take about 5 minutes.
    5. Once it is finished, remove the carafe and pour your cup of coffee.
    6. Don’t forget to throw away or compost your coffee grounds right away. Leaving it in the machine overnight could cause molding.
