    HOW TO MAKE ARABIAN COFFEE

STEP 1 – MEASURE THE INGREDIENTS

What sets Arabian coffee (also known as Turkish Coffee) apart from the rest, is the grind of the beans, the flavor infusions, and the method of brew. Our beans are ground finely to the consistency of cocoa powder or icing sugar. Traditionally, spices such as cardamom are added to lend a rich flavor. You will need the following:
2-3 teaspoons of our finely ground coffee of your choosing
    200 ml of water
    Sugar to your taste

STEP 2 – BREW THE COFFEE

Here’s where things get fancy. Arabian coffee is typically brewed in an ‘ibrik’ and unfiltered. That’s what makes the experience rich. An ibrik is simply a small pot, usually made of copper or brass, and has a long handle. Like I said, fancy but not necessary.
Any small pot or saucepan will do the job just fine. Take a look at our beautiful selection of
ibriks that are sure to dazzle and make for excellent gift ideas.
Back to the brewing. Take all of the ingredients and combine them into the ibrik.

STEP 3 – LET THE MAGIC BEGIN

Your almost there. This is the part that sets apart the amateurs from the experts, but in reality it’s really not that complicated. Place your ibrik on a medium-high temperature heat source, electric or flame. If you walk away and the coffee boils over, it changes the flavor and gets rid of the foam (the best part I promise).
Stay close, this will only take about 3-4 minutes and you’ll love the results. Use a teaspoon to vigorously stir the ingredients for approximately 1 minute then stop. This is another key step, do not over-stir. Let the flavors set, the foam build, and the aroma rise. Watch the ibrik closely and do not let the coffee boil.

STEP 4 – IT'S TIME TO GET FANCY

As soon as it looks like it’s about to boil, remove the ibrik and let’s get fancy again! Remember it’s all about the foam. Pour the foam into your ‘fingan’ and place the ibrik back on medium heat. Fingan is Egyptian for coffee cup. A fingan is usually small, similar to an espresso or cappuccino cup.
Any cup will do, but browse or selection of fingans that are sure to put the finishing touch on your presentation that will leave you and your guests in awe. Again, don’t let the coffee boil as this is only to set the foam and not allow the coffee to get cold.
Once the ibrik is ready to boil again, remove the ibrik and gently pour the remainder of the coffee down the inside of the fingan, but avoid the middle as to not disturb the foam.
